The Avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV) ELISA Subtypes A,B,C ELISA is the default aMPV ELISA test unless otherwise specified on the submission form by the submitter. Testing is performed when a sufficient number of samples are available. Samples must arrive prior to the day of testing, same day testing is not available.
Fee added when a case requires additional handling and additional technician time. Examples include but are not limited to: samples are not organized, samples are not properly labeled, containers are contaminated on the outside.
Results are reported on Mondays. Samples should arrive at the lab at least 2 days before the test date to allow for processing/preparation for testing. Following the guidelines listed under the Submitted Specimen Requirements will provide an adequate sample volume to conduct this test. If multiple tests are to be requested on a specimen, there may not be adequate sample volume to perform each test. Please submit an adequate sample volume to meet the requirements of each test.
