The Minnesota Avian Influenza Virus Dashboard provides information related to the "Avian influenza virus (AIV) Testing of Minnesota Wildlife Program". It not only enables the public to view which free-ranging birds and mammals were tested for, and were positive for influenza A virus (IAV; including highly pathogenic avian influenza virus) but also from which Minnesota counties these animals originated. All IAV-positive samples are sent to the National Services Laboratory to confirm or rule out whether a detected influenza A virus strain is a highly pathogenic type.
