Histology

What we do

Histology is the division of biology which studies the microscopic anatomy of biological tissues.  We study the microanatomy of cells, tissues, and organs as seen through a microscope to examine the correlation between structure and function.  Histology technologists stain transparent tissue sections on slides.  After these sections are stained, the tissue morphology, presence of particular cell types, structures or even microorganisms are examined by our highly trained pathologists.
