MN VDL welcomes a new anatomic pathologist
March 19, 2025
Dr. Meg Moore earned her DVM and MPH degrees from Colorado State University and
the Colorado School of Public Health. She completed a residency in anatomic pathology
at the University of Minnesota, earning board certification in 2021. As a former high
school science teacher with a passion for teaching and training, Meg stayed on at UMN
as an assistant professor. In this role, she developed an in-house surgical pathology
service, trained students and residents, supported preclinical research with NHP
models, and worked closely with clinicians to ensure accurate diagnoses for clients.
In 2023, Meg joined Antech Diagnostics, reviewing over 12,000 biopsy samples from
across North America, further honing her diagnostic expertise. She is passionate about
working alongside clinicians to tackle challenging cases and deliver accurate, actionable
diagnostic reports. Her diagnostic interests include dermatopathology, oncologic
pathology, and gastrointestinal pathology.
Dr. Moore is now returning to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary
Medicine and Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, where she looks forward to expanding the
surgical pathology service and continuing her work with students and residents. Outside
of work, Meg enjoys all-things-outdoors and spending time traveling, adventuring, and
playing with her husband Nate, daughters Molly and Margot, and big slobbery Newfie,
Coda.
